A pretty rare sighting, shown in this photo. Three hawks sitting on three fence posts in a row. It’s pretty rare for these to perch like this, and what is unusual is that there were a total of six of these hawks hanging around this area. It’s on the Betts tract, in what we call the Betts tract pasture. This seems to be a big year for raptors in the Natomas Basin. Is it weather related? Or just lots of prey?
