As required by the 2003 NBHCP and California’s Non-profit Integrity Act of 2004, the Conservancy’s annual audit of year-end financials has been completed. A clean opinion was issued by auditors Gilbert Associates, Inc. of Sacramento. Representatives of Gilbert met independently with the Conservancy’s Audit Committee, which in turn presented the results to the Conservancy’s April 4, 2012 meeting of the Board of Directors. All audited financial statements since the Conservancy’s inception can be found in the “Helpful Documents” section of the web site.

New land acquisition
The latest Conservancy land acquisition, the “Richter tract,” adds 80 acres to the organization’s Central Basin Reserve Area. This is the portion of the Natomas Basin where rice production is the dominant land use.
