A new video showing a locally-produced clip of the Swainson’s hawk is now available for viewing and downloading on the Conservancy’s web site. The brief video shows various aspects of the life of the Swainson’s hawk. This includes footage of a nest, of chicks, and a Swainson’s hawk in flight. Close ups of the hawk’s head and wings will help viewers identify the hawk. Those wishing to view the video clip are cautioned that it contains a large file download, and if a dial-up modem is used, download times can be extensive.
The Conservancy extends special thanks to Jude Lamare with Friends of the Swainson’s Hawk. Her encouragement and initiative made the video come to fruition. The Friends of the Swainson Hawk web site (www.swainsonshawk.org) has more information on the hawk.
